The only solution i have found is Reinstall windows, do not yet connect to internet. Type regedit in RUN or Start Menu search box and press Enter. I have been trying for 3 weeks to fix Window update without success. I finally landed here and after completing the first step I'm updating! They both installed, rebooted and bam. 2 days of screwing around over. It should be in the same folder where UpdateGenerator.exe is present. Restart as the manual updates require.
