What happened was they both froze up when I was listening to music in iTunes and I held the power button down to shut them off.. or what about the nigerian who is writing to you? Thank you. However, it has been observed that sometimes Windows Update will still offer Service Pack 1 (SP1) as an update even if you are already using Service Pack 1. Usually this file would be at \Windows\system32\winload.exe but your BCD shows it at \Windows\system32\boot\winload.exe. However, many of the updates listed here are for Windows 7 and Server 2008, rather than Server 2012. check over here Scroll down till you find the ISO file you want and double click on it. W7 came loaded on my Dell pc, so I can't get the reinstall from Microsoft. The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard. Everyone I know either has Vista or XP. THANK YOU SO MUCH a HUNDRED TIMES OVER! There are a lot of unwanted and missing entries in your BCD. The mobile version is a different story. weblink If you're not booting to an OS on this HDD then search for remnants of an installed OS on the disk and try removing them.
My friend's not exactly careful with his laptop, but this is the first time I've seen a computer refuse to boot like this.
