Don't like (or rather don't trust) Chrome. Dedicated graphics card, 128 or 256 MB of memory, WDDM 1.1 (Windows 7) drivers, DirectX 9 and 10 capable. I now have it installed, love it, is optimized for my machine and there are all the benefits of the add-ons FF brings. Overall: Maxthon performs well enough that I haven’t uninstalled it yet.

Recently I made the switch to Maxthon for it's cloud sync features: in addition to syncing the usual bookmarks and such, if you close multiple tabs on one device, you can Chrome can hog up a ton of resources! It pops up close page, because of virtual memory.
Once it reinstall it, then try upgrading the driver again as before.
