Windows automatic update may install 20 - 30 updates & only reboot once? Hardware & software mfgs often aren't willing to issue patches or driver updates when a new OS comes out. It works here even if I just cannot understand the link between KB3145739 and Windows Update scan delay. I wonder if you have to sign in to the Microsoft site before it works properly? Time to update is one issue, but my laptop is finding them - just not displaying them to install. After installing the updates (from the list) I was missing, it changed updating time on my dual core laptop, from never finishing to finding ~ 30 updates in 15 min.
There seem to be some of the errors before probs started (after 4/6/2016), just not as many errs as recently. I don't remember reading any guesses what eventually ended the loop (for some users) & finish updating. I am only permitted to use less than 50% of my own CPU, and am also deprived of almost half of my RAM, periodic visits to "Services" to "Stop" wuauserv have I used the information in CheckSUR.log to locate and manually delete keys with errors reported for them.
